All About Me

My name is Rhea Ann Brewer. I am currently teaching 7th grade Science at the Monticello Middle School. I am also enrolled in the MAT program at the U of A Monticello. I received my Associates degree in Radiologic Technology and my Bachelors of Science in Imagaing Science Management. I hope to graduate in the Spring of 2011 mith my Masters of Art in Teaching.

I am learning more than my students. Or atleast I put in more study hours a night than they do!...on the same material!
Okay, today I observed an awesome teacher! Mrs. Richey at MIS! She was modeling to her students, then group working, and later independant working. She was differentiating instruction, using technology, and everything else. I was like....WOW!
MMS is a great school. The other teachers, principles, and everyone else is soooo helpful!
Okay...they knew everything in class, so why did so many bomb the test? Time to re-group...
I think that 7th grade science frameworks are crazy! I jump from human/life science to earth science, to physical science. It is so confusing for me and the kids! We're making it though. Well, atleast they are. :)
I think that all parents should have to spend 1 day in the life of a school teacher! HA!
I am struggling on ODD days. They seem to not have a care in the world. It's sad. :(
I teach on a block schedule and every class is completely different from the next. Personalities, behavior problems, etc.
There is not enough time in the day....
I did the coolest "student teach" today and they loved it. They were the teachers and they did so well!
If you teach 7th grade science and want to show a great movie...check out EARTH. It is great to show during earth science and has alot of the frameworks in it! The kids loved it!
